Jharkhand: A horrific accident took place in Ranchi, Jharkhand on Thursday. A cow’s calf fell into a well in Piska village of Ranchi. As soon as the information about the fall of the calf in the well came to the villagers, a crowd of people gathered there. If media reports are to be believed, 6 people have lost their lives in the effort to save the calf. NDRF has recovered all the bodies. It is being told that the condition of one person is still critical who has been admitted to the hospital.
On Thursday, a calf fell into an old well in Piska village of Ranchi. When the people of the village came to know about this, a large crowd gathered near the well. The villagers together decided to save the calf and then started working according to their strategy to save it. Then suddenly the ground of the well sinks in which some people fall into the well along with the debris.
There was uproar among the villagers due to the mudslide. The villagers informed the police about this, after which the police reached the spot. Seeing the situation, the police called the NDRF, after which the campaign to save the people started. According to media reports, people were buried under the debris. NDRF jawans had to struggle hard to get them out.
It is being told that 2 bodies were taken out on Thursday and 4 bodies have been recovered today i.e. on Friday. A total of 6 people have died in this accident so far. At present one person is undergoing treatment.
Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has expressed condolences on this tragic incident. In a tweet, he wrote that the heart is disturbed by the sad news of the death of 5 people in Piska village located in Muri area of Silli. May God grant peace to the departed souls and give strength to the bereaved family members to bear this difficult hour of grief.
