Nepal cricket team has left for Pakistan for their first match. At the same time, Sandeep Lamichhane was not seen with the Nepal cricket team.

Only a few days are left for the start of the Asia Cup. Meanwhile, the Nepal cricket team has left for Pakistan for their first match. At the same time, Sandeep Lamichhane was not seen with the Nepal cricket team. Actually, it is being said that due to the alleged rape case, he could not go with the team.

Let me tell you, 23-year-old Sandeep Lamichhane was once the captain of the Nepal cricket team as well as the poster boy. But last year he was accused of raping a minor. However, he denies all the allegations leveled against him.

Speaking to the media before the team’s departure, Nepal Cricket Association manager Pradeep Mazgaiyan said, “The case against Sandeep is pending in the court, so he is not going with us now, he has some health problems as well.”

Lamichhane has to attend the hearing of the case on Sunday. Mazgaian said that he is hopeful that he will be able to join the team for the tournament later.

Mazgaian further said that there is still some time left for the match to start. So there is still a possibility that he will join later. Significantly, last year, Sandeep was suspended from the captaincy of the Nepal team after the allegations were made. While there he was arrested from Kathmandu airport. But in January he was released on bail and Nepal lifted the ban on his playing.
