The Lander Module (LM) of Chandrayaan-3, the third ambitious lunar mission of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), is all set to touch down on the lunar surface on Wednesday evening.

With this, India is keen to become the first country to achieve the feat of soft landing on the mysterious South Pole of the Earth’s only natural satellite. The LM carrying the lander (Vikram) and the rover (Pragyan) is expected to touch down on the Moon’s south pole at 6.04 pm on Wednesday.“Extremely eager to see the achievement of Chandrayaan-3,” Sandeep Daga, a businessman and physics enthusiast, told PTI. “The Chandrayaan-3 mission will strengthen the Indian space program and ISRO,” Daga said. This mission will project India as a global power in the field of space technology, as well as inspire millions of children to study science, physics and space science.
