Indian Railways: Ministry of Railways has given important instructions to the zonal officers. In which it has been said that such trains should be identified in which fewer passengers travel in reserve sleeper coaches.

Now the passengers are going to get another gift. In fact, the Ministry of Railways has given important instructions to the zonal officers. In which it has been said that such trains should be identified in which fewer passengers travel in reserve sleeper coaches. So that these coaches can be converted into unreserved coaches and later they can be converted into general coaches.

According to a report in Hindustan Times, internal communication was done on 21 August. In which the Railway Board has issued instructions to convert general sleeper class coaches into unreserved ones. Especially in those trains which have very few seats during the day or where there is very less demand. This decision will help in reducing the crowd in general coaches. According to an official, the number of general coaches has not been increased for the last several years. Due to this also there is overcrowding.

It was instructed to kindly identify those trains where the occupancy is very low. Send recommendation for conversion of sleeper class reserved coaches to unreserved. Due to which railway revenue will increase and many people including local passengers will get benefit. Let us tell you that the problem of crowding in unreserved coaches is increasing. The condition is worse in the festive season. These days thousands of people go to their villages for the coming festivals including Raksha Bandhan. There is not even a place left to step in the train. But now there can be some relief.
