In Uttar Pradesh, the process of consolidation has now started in 515 villages of 25 districts. For the first time, state-of-the-art technology like artificial intelligence, block chain, drone and rover survey is being used for consolidation.
Consolidation Commissioner GS Naveen Kumar said that under the Uttar Pradesh Holdings Consolidation Act-1953, the process of consolidation of holdings and creation of new rights records is going on continuously. He said that there is a demand for re-consolidation of new villages. So far, notification of consolidation has been issued in 141 villages. On the demand of public representatives and villagers, a decision has been taken to consolidate 374 villages in 25 districts. Thus far, the process of spreading consolidation has started in a total of 515 villages. He told that the tender process has been started for integration with AI, blockchain, drone and rover survey.
Inquiry committee formed on complaint
GS Naveen Kumar said that a three-member inquiry committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of Additional Director Consolidation to investigate irregularities in consolidation in Ishwarpur village of Azamgarh. Local resident Ramesh Yadav and other villagers have alleged irregularities in the consolidation. The committee has been directed to submit its report by September 1.
