Pakistan captain Babar Azam on Wednesday said the massive 238-run win over Nepal in the first match of the Asia Cup will give his team confidence ahead of the much-awaited clash against arch-rivals India on Saturday. Pakistan got off to a winning start in the Asia Cup, beating lowly Nepal by a huge margin of 238 runs in their Group A match here. Pakistan will now travel to Sri Lanka for the match against India to be played at Pallekele.
Babar said after the match, “This match was a good preparation for the match against India because it gave us confidence. We want to give 100 percent in every match, hopefully we will do the same there too.” Babar scored 151 runs, which is his 19th ODI century.
