Jhansi. The District Supply Department and Social Welfare Department have tried their best to connect the beneficiaries availing the benefits of Widow, Disabled and Old Age Pension Scheme in the district with Ayushman Bharat Mission and National Food Security Act. Even after this, both the departments are not able to reach the beneficiaries to the District Supply Office. Even after five months of implementation of the scheme, 25 percent beneficiaries have not been able to get ration cards and Ayushman cards made. Out of total 12,937 beneficiaries in the district, only 547 could get Ayushman card and ration card made. District Supply Officer Umesh Chandra said that the beneficiaries of the pension scheme are not taking interest in making ration cards. In such a situation the target is also lagging behind. All Kotedars have been asked to make the beneficiaries aware, yet the number of applicants is not increasing. Social Welfare Officer Lalita Yadav says that we have given the data of the beneficiaries to the District Supply Department. Ration cards will be issued from there. Whoever is coming here is being told the procedure and is being sent to the District Supply Department. Dialogue
