Up to 3000 police officers will be required for a World Cup game, with the remaining officers being deployed in hotels where Pakistani players will be staying.

It remains to be known whether the BCCI will comply with the request, as the original World Cup has recently seen nine changes as a result of security concerns in Ahmedabad and Kolkata.
