Weather Update: While cold will haunt people in the coming days, due to easterly wave there is a possibility of heavy rain in South Peninsular India for the next 4 days. According to IMD, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain in Kerala, Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal from 21-23 November. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for all these.

According to AccuWeather, the maximum temperature in Delhi this morning was 26 degrees Celsius with light fog. At the same time, the minimum temperature is likely to drop to 12 degrees Celsius. On November 23, the maximum temperature of Delhi will be 26 degrees and there will be lukewarm sunshine.

It will rain here from 22 to 27 November

While cold will haunt people in the coming days, due to easterly wave there is a possibility of heavy rain in South Peninsular India for the next 4 days. According to India Metrological Department (IMD), there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain in Kerala, Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal from 21 to 23 November.

The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for all these. People have also been advised not to go to water logged, unpaved roads and crowded areas. According to IMD, there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall at some places in Central India and West Coast during 24 to 27 November.

There will be a storm with rain, lightning and strong winds

According to IMD, on November 22 i.e. today, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain at isolated places in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal, Kerala and Mahe. There is a possibility of storm with lightning and strong winds (speed 30-40 kmph) at isolated places over Kerala and Mahe. There is a possibility of lightning at isolated places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam and Rayalaseema and Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal.

There is a possibility of dense fog at isolated places in Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur and Mizoram. There is a possibility of stormy weather (wind speed 40-45 kmph gusting to 55 kmph) along the south-west and west-central Bay of Bengal as well as along the coasts of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.

No relief from pollution in Delhi

There is no possibility of getting relief from pollution in Delhi at present. On Tuesday (November 21), the air quality index of five areas of Delhi has reached above 400 in the severe category. The air here will become more poisonous in the coming 3-4 days. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), even today Delhi’s AQI remains in the ‘very poor’ category.

Himachal covered with snow sheet

Winter has knocked in Himachal, there is light snowfall in the higher reaches. The roads of Himachal are completely covered with snow. Roads are being cleaned with the help of JCB. Snowfall has started in Chamba, Shimla, Kullu, Kinnaur and Lahaul-Spiti.
