Fast bowler Himanshu Chauhan’s five wickets helped Delhi bowl out Himachal Pradesh for 250 runs in the second innings here on Monday and win by 76 runs, which is its second win in the current Ranji Trophy season. But the standout performance of the day in Group D was left-arm medium pace bowler Kulwant Khejroliya taking four wickets in four consecutive balls to take five wickets as Madhya Pradesh won by an innings and 52 runs over Baroda in Indore.

Pranshu Vijayaran took three wickets and Siddhant Sharma took two wickets due to which Himachal Pradesh team was limited to 76.4 overs. All round Rishi Dhawan was the top scorer by scoring 65 runs in 121 balls. Delhi had scored 264 runs in the first innings and declared the second innings at 381 runs for six wickets. It was a memorable day for 31-year-old Khejroliya as Madhya Pradesh achieved a big win over Baroda. By taking four wickets in four balls, Khejroliya joined Delhi’s Shankar Saini and Jammu and Kashmir’s Mohammad Mudasir in Ranji Trophy history. He became the third bowler from Madhya Pradesh to take a hat-trick in Ranji Trophy. Madhya Pradesh scored 454 runs in the first innings and followed it up by bowling out Baroda for 132 runs in the first innings. Top order batsman Shashwat Rawat kept Baroda in a good position by scoring 105 runs but then Khejroliya did wonders. In the 95th over, Khejroliya dismissed Shashwat Rawat, Mahesh Pithiya, Bhargav Bhatt and Akash Singh from the second to fifth balls. Due to this, Baroda’s score increased from 255 runs for five wickets to 255 runs for nine wickets. Khejroliya gave his team a big victory by taking the last wicket of Atit Seth (20) in the 99th over. Whereas in Cuttack, Uttarakhand defeated Odisha by 162 runs.
